Visitors Guide

We welcome you to the Prescott Apostolic Christian Church. We want you to feel loved and accepted when you walk through our doors.

What does a normal Sunday look like?

We offer a traditional worship style. A cappella singing begins at 10am in the sanctuary. Sunday school students are dismissed and morning service begins at 10:15am. Following morning service, a buffet lunch is served with time to connect with family and friends. Everyone gathers back in the church foyer at 12pm for an additional 10-15 minutes of singing. At 12:15, afternoon service begins. Afternoon services occasionally involve topical studies with more interaction from the congregation.

Is there anything for my children?

Yes. Sunday school is held in our Sunday school classrooms for preschool (4 years old and up) through high school aged children. Sunday school takes place during the morning worship service. There is no Sunday school in June or July.

What should I wear?

You will find most people dress formally for Sunday worship. Women typically wear skirts/dresses and men wear dress pants/shirts. Although this style is generally embraced, feel free to come as you are and know we will welcome you regardless.

What version of the Bible do you use?

The King James version is used during worship services. Bibles are available in the pews, but you may bring your own if you prefer.

Why does your church not have instruments in the assembly?

We blend our voices together as we sing hymns a ccapella in 4-part harmony.

Why do men sit on one side and the women on another?

The majority of men and women sit separately to facilitate our singing, but also to support and surround singles, widows, and widowers. Please feel welcome to sit wherever you are comfortable - with family, friends, or spouses!

Why do women wear head coverings?

Female members of the Apostolic Christian Church wear a head covering (prayer veil) during prayer and worship. 1 Corinthians 11:5

Can I stay for lunch?

For sure! We welcome you to join us for lunch and a time of fellowship. As a church family, we embrace this as a time of sharing, encouraging, and strengthening one another.
